What's the Best Diary You Ever Wrote?

Last night, we almost lost a very entertaining (if sometimes crude) diarist, JeffLieber. He got involved in a drinking game, where each new diary about Hillary Clinton necessitated taking another drink. He got dangerously close to alcohol toxicity and coma. As an escape from that dangerous rut: How about a review of the range and depth of writing talent here at Daily Kos?
Plus here's a heads up on something coming up soon for Netroots Nation. DFA's gonna be sponsoring the scholarship/fellowship program for Austin this July (less than two months away!!!) If you want to go to NN, but can't afford it, there may be help available for you. Unlike last year, there will be applications accepted this time around. One of the items on requested will be links to three (max) of your best blog posts. I was helping out with the beta test for the online application, and so got digging around in my own diaries, and thinking about Daily Kos over time.
And so I ask you: What's the best diaries you've every written here on Daily Kos? The best ones not about this primary season, that is! Carnacki did a dairy asking for this once, a year or more back, and it brought all kinds of interesting material to light. There was one by SusanG for nominations for the Daily Kos Hall of Fame diaries. Below the fold, I list a few of my best, plus a some by others which have stuck with me over time. Please add some of your own in the comments.
Also, think about if you'd like to apply for assistance to attend Netroots Nation, or other kossacks (or bloggers elsewhere) who might benefit from a subsidy. And keep your eyes open - the launch of the application process is due as soon as a few little problems in the online application form get ironed out. Also, to expand the fellowship pool as widely as possible, there will be requests for donations to the program. If you have a few bucks to toss in, or frequent flyer miles available to donate to the effort, they will be a big help.
Especially if you're saturated on diaries about Hillary &c., here's a chance for good reading on other topics. Meanwhile, here's some old diaries of mine (shameless self promotion?) - it would be too many for a Netroots Nation application, but culled down quite a bit from 236 diaries I've published to date.
